Anúncio da condução de Antônio Augusto Brandão de Aras ao cargo pelo Presidente da República, Jair Bolsonaro, gerou críticas do próprio Ministério Público e de toda a esquerda.
O novo Procurador-Geral da República foi anunciado ontem (05) pelo Presidente Jair Bolsonaro. Antônio Augusto Brandão de Aras tomará posse do cargo assim que Raquel Dodge, atual Procuradora-Geral, tiver seu mandato encerrado. Com a escolha direta, o Presidente da República exerceu uma prerrogativa de seu cargo, quebrando um costume adotado pelo hoje presidiário Lula da Silva, de indicar um nome vindo da lista interna da própria Procuradoria.
Mesmo a escolha direta, medida adotada por Jair Bolsonaro, sendo por lei prerrogativa estrita do Presidente da República, a Associação Nacional dos Procuradores da República (ANPR) emitiu uma nota de desagravo, criticando severamente Jair Bolsonaro.
A oposição socialista esperneou nas Redes Sociais com a escolha do novo Procurador-Geral. Edson Salomão, Presidente do Movimento Conservador e cotado como pré-candidato à Prefeitura de São Paulo, compilou algumas manifestações de figuras políticas de esquerda que manifestaram seu pesar pela escolha feita pelo Presidente da República.
